The seven levels How it works Save my seat

AI on the payroll.
The short version.

This is what I talked about, cut down to the four things that matter and written so you can forward it to the person who has to agree with you.

Infrastructure, not automation: what AI has to look like inside a company that has staff, clients and something to lose.
01 · Where it goes

You invoiced 214 of 312 hours.

You paid for all of them.

The gap is admin and redo. It does not show up on an invoice, it shows up as a worse year. Most operators have never seen it laid out, because nothing they own is counting it.

“The most expensive team member on your staff isn’t the one with the highest wages — it’s the one who snacks on admin time like popcorn.”

A CanTicket job card showing estimated budget $300.00, labour cost $156.56, AI cost $186.06 and delivery cost $342.62
What counting it looks like

Labour cost and AI cost, on the same job.

Not a report you commission at the end of the quarter. A live job card, with the hours your people put in and what the agents spent doing their share, sitting next to the budget you quoted.

You cannot argue with a number that was there the whole time.

Our own account management job, not a client’s. We are not going to prove a point with someone else’s numbers.

02 · Before you buy anything

Everyone says they use AI. Nobody can say where they sit.

Usage is not position. Find your rung before you spend a dollar, because the gap between where you are and where you think you are is where the money goes.

0
Automationthe floor

Rules, templates, things that file themselves. Not AI, and not optional. Until the plumbing is in, there is nothing to stand on.

1
Chatmost are here

A window in another tab. Prompt, copy, paste, check. This is where I started too.

2
Assistantmost are here

It knows your brand and your numbers. Every interaction still starts with a person typing.

3
Workershared work

It has a job, not a prompt. Does the whole task and comes back with it finished, for you to approve.

4
Colleaguewhere we aim

Standing responsibilities. Notices without being asked, works while you sleep, comes to you first.

5
One organisationwhere we are

Roles, work handed between them, one handbook, and a board above the lot holding the manager to account.

6
Learns from resultswhere we are

Reads last month and changes what it does next, with the board approving. This is running now.

7
Fully autonomousnobody, honestly

Runs a whole function, sets its own goals, nobody in the loop. Not real yet. Level seven means nobody is accountable when it is wrong.

If every AI interaction in your business starts with a person typing, you are at two.
03 · Straight about the line

What is still human.

Anyone selling you a seven is selling you something. Here is where ours stops.

I would rather tell you those than sell you a five.
04 · Before anyone builds anything

Your IP never leaves your fence.

The question everybody should ask, and almost nobody does. Ask it of us, and ask it of whoever else you are talking to.

Stays yours, full stop

Your data, your brand, your contacts, your client history, and every result it produces. It never becomes House of Can's to keep, sell, or train on.

What you are licensing, not buying

The software and the agent framework itself. It runs on our infrastructure, not yours, and is never handed over, copied, resold or reverse-engineered.

Your business's information is walled off from ours, and from every other client's. You authorise your own tools; we provide the platform, the governance and the agents on top.
What to do with this

Start with your own numbers.

You cannot fix a leak you cannot see. Put your own week on a job card first, then decide whether you want us to run the machine on top of it.
